Dating a crime scene is one of the first things that the police need to do to start to solve the crime. Gathering evidence that may help to discover when the person died and even when they were buried is the job of the forensic scientists and they can use a surprising array of evidence to help them.
Scenario – A body was found in a shallow grave in some woodland outside York. The forensic scientists are on the scene to gather the evidence, can you help them to work out the time of death?
